Overview

The University Hospital Waterford 7th Annual Research Meeting was held virtually on the 29th of January of 2021 and showcased a wide variety of patient and health-related research done by the University Hospital Waterford and the worldwide scientific community. TSSG contributed with this event by sending five posters that highlighted the most recent research on this field. These posters were submitted by the Bio-Nano team of the Mobile Ecosystem and Pervasive Sensing Unit, which investigates the use of biological and nanoscale/molecular communications systems to solve the current and emerging issues in the medical and agricultural fields, such as COVID-19, glioblastoma, drug delivery in the brain and bacteria-based biosensors.
